Bedford Plan

1954 National Plan Service "Prelude to Happiness"

The only named home in this book is the Bedford. Its a modern ranch style that incorporates many of the amenities considered essential by mid-50s families. There are two bedrooms, a den (alternately labeled as a bedroom), and a full bath in the sleeping wing of the home. The kitchen is an efficient U-shape with pantry closet and half bath a few steps away. The garden view living room at the rear of the home flows easily into a dining area. A double car garage completes this plan.
