This is a small house by any standard, but decidedly modern. This ranch sports a massive chimney and corner windows, low-slung horizontal lines, and demonstrates the streamlined sophisication that would eventually dominate the housing market during the 1950s. The detached garage, separated from the house by a breezeway, reflects the growing attention given to the automobile, but is still secondary to the house itself.
