Three bedrooms and a single bathroom was for many young families the American Dream in the years after World War II. This plan, available as an updated Cape Cod style or ranch with a gable-on-hip roof, was a simple rectangle making it relatively inexpensive to build. A brick fireplace, eat-in kitchen, and bathroom with both a tub and separate shower were additional amenities.
