The Brittany

The Brittany is derived from the small houses that dot the French countryside. Like the returning soldiers after WWI, some returning GIs wanted homes that represented the hospitality and graciousness they found in France during and just after WWII. The Brittany is small and rambling (another post-WWII architectural characteristic) with two bedrooms and a single bath.
